Stardew Valley is a farming simulation game inspired by Story of Seasons that used to be known as Harvest Moon. This means that players can immerse themselves in the game by living the farm life without really touching the grass.

ConcernedApe was a one-man (and still is!) developer that created the game. The game was able to garner a strong fandom community by being wholesome and allowing people to mod the game. (For your extra information, even the mods could create their own separate community!)

Stardew Valley has dropped its latest 1.6 update which has many new additions for new and old players to explore. In the latest update, many quality-of-life updates are included that may bring joy and fun surprises.

It’s a cosy game for cosy gamers.

What’s in Stardew Valley?

Stardew Valley and most farming games, requires you to care for a farm by clearing the debris and start planting using the seeds you purchase with your start-up money. Farming, foraging, fishing, mining and combat are the game’s basic skill-based activities that can be levelled up as you play.

Many things in this game are progression-based unlockables. This means you need to have some progress either on your skills, storylines, relationships or quests to possibly receive a crafting recipe, cooking recipe or unlock an area. This will give you a sense of accomplishment when you do something.

Besides that, you have a choice to support the big corporation called the Joja Company by joining their membership or you can protect your small village by fixing the community centre yourself. Choosing one or the other will give you a different path moving forward in-game.

Afterwards, it’s up to you (or with friends in multiplayer) to build an empire within the farming business as you explore the world of Stardew Valley, uncover all the secrets, and reach perfection.

Of course, in every farm game, having a relationship with the villagers would improve your game experiences. The villagers have interesting stories, not to mention the drama that you might even feel that you are a part of the village.

Who Are The Villagers?

There are at least 30 Villagers and 12 of them are marriageable partners. Each potential partner has a unique personality that you either love or hate. Most have different reasons why a certain partner is their favourite. Uncover yours as you play!

There are also several town gossip and conspiracy theories that the fandom is eating popcorn over. It can cause a stir in the community when someone brings up the topic sometimes. Some of the stories are related to the ones that ConcernedApe shows blatantly in-game. While others are just conspiracy theories the fandom makes from analysing the details that are in the game.

I won’t be sharing the gossip here in the article because there’s just too much to share. It’s probably something you would explore or stumble upon yourself at some point if you do play the game and join the Stardew Valley communities.

Anyway, that is not all. ConcernedApe has left several hidden secrets in the game waiting for you to uncover which apparently, not all have been discovered yet!

What are the secrets?

I see you want spoilers. I won’t be sharing it in this article. If you’re still curious, just play the game already!
