Venom: The Last Dance (…or The Last Chance?)

With the release of the trailer, it is confirmed that we are actually getting a ‘Venom’ trilogy. The first two installments of the trilogy have been underwhelming and are not regarded as great movies by fans. In this final movie, what storyline Sony could possibly adapt to steal our hearts, one last time?

Knull: The God of Symbiotes

Knull: the god of symbiotes

In the comics (Venom 2018, Issue 1-4), the origin of Venom’s species, known as Klyntar, is so metal.

Knull was a god who ruled in darkness. When the universe and life were created, he was mad because his domain was breached. Using the darkness, he forged a living sword known as Necrosword.

You see, Necrosword is alive. As Knull hit it with a loud clanging noise and forged it in fire, Necrosword felt the pain of it. And that explains why the weaknesses of Venom’s species are high-frequency noise and fire.

Why symbiotes are afraid of fire and loud clanging noise

After that, Knull forged an entire armor from the darkness. He embarked on a mission to commit genocide on life and even gods themselves–he aims to bring the universe back into the void of nothingness.

After learning that his armor could control lesser beings, he created an army of symbiotes. Taking the life of many hosts, Knull continued on his genocidal mission.

After a while, these symbiotes gained consciousness and revolted against his master. Billions of symbiotes trapped him, forming a dark planet with Knull trapped in its heart. Remember Klyntar? In their language, Klyntar means ‘cage’.

In the ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ trailer, Venom tells Eddie that ‘his home has found us’. If Venom is referring to Knull, then this movie will be epic because the final boss is here!

More Multiversal Shenanigans?

The so-called young Peter Parker, his mother, and Aunt May from the trailer

There is another theory that has been circulating online, particularly on Reddit. People could’ve sworn that they see young Peter Parker and Aunt May in the trailer.

Venom: The Last Dance (…or The Last Chance?)
The symbiotes’ hivemind allows Venom to know Spider-Man even when they never met

In the post-credit scene of ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’, Venom told Eddie that every symbiote is interconnected through a hivemind, throughout the entire multiverse. Which means if a variant of Venom knows Peter Parker is Spider-Man, then every version of Venom throughout the multiverse will have that information.

Venom: The Last Dance (…or The Last Chance?)
One Venom variant knows Peter Parker = every symbiote knows he’s Spider-Man

With that said, here is the speculated plot: In this universe, when Peter Parker grows up and becomes Spider-Man, he will be the enemy of symbiotes. To avoid it, the symbiotes will attempt to kill Peter before any of that happens.

And here’s the twist: Eddie and Venom will choose to save Peter Parker from other symbiotes and eventually guide him as a mentor, until he becomes Spider-Man. If this actually happens, then Eddie and Venom would have one of the most interesting character developments that we’ve ever seen.

Regardless, judging how Sony handled multiverse shenanigans in Morbius and Madam Web, it is very doubtful that they could pull off this storyline successfully.

So… What Will Happen In The Movie?

But the venomized horse is so fricking cool tho

We’ll find out when the movie’s out. This article has been entirely speculative based on the comics and clues from the trailer.

Is Knull going to be the big bad? Will Sony pull off a multiversal story? Or both of them could happen in this movie! Either way, let’s just hope that the final Venom movie will be a fun ride for all of us.
